STATEMENT: Democrats Serve on New RI-01 special election poll showing Amo, Regunberg lead field
Milford, Conn. (August 24, 2023) — Background: Today, Gabe Amo, a Democrats Serve PAC endorsed candidate running for Congress in Rhode Island’s 1st Congressional District, released a new Global Strategy Group poll showing that he’s surged to become one of the top two candidate’s running in the 14 candidate field.
In response, Brett Broesder, the founding executive director of Democrats Serve — a national organization that supports public service Democrats, including Amo for whom the group is actively running an independent expenditure for via direct mail and a TV ad — made the following statement:
“The special election has become a two-person race between Gabe Amo – a candidate we endorsed – and Aaron Regunberg.
“Gabe Amo grew up in Pawtucket, worked hard, and went on to serve two presidents in the White House. He knows what it takes to get things done, and that’s why Gabe Amo is the best choice for Rhode Islanders.”
